Peter and Frances Grantat the Hestan Isle Press, Barntimpin House, St. Anns, Lockerbie, Scotland make Rather Special Books.


They are printed on the Hand-press from individual letters of metal type, and all are signed limited editions.
Some are miniature books, some larger, some are illustrated by Frances Grant (who also designs the slipcases), and all are hand-bound using artificial leathers, book-cloths, and interesting papers –

The books are bought by collectors all over Britain, America and Canada, and some can be found in the Edward Clark Rare Book Collection at Edinburgh’s Napier University, the University of Virginia Library, the Victoria & Albert Museum Library, London, and the Scottish Poetry Library, Edinburgh.
